I had numerous opportunities to work with Ryan Sicard on a variety of issues over the years, including his time on the village board, EDC board (President of Board), and county board of supervisors. He tirelessly advocated for the approval of the St. Croix Crossing (approved in 2012 and opened in 2017). He brought a common sense approach to his elected and appointed work. I especially appreciated his volunteer work in Madison with the EDC’s annual legislative day appointments with legislators from around the state. Ryan gets results. I have known Ryan Sicard for the past 30+ years.  I first met Ryan when I was a teacher at Somerset High School.  Ryan was a great student always willing to go the extra mile to help out the school and/or his peers and teachers.  I also had the privilege of working with Ryan as a colleague at Somerset High School.  Ryan worked in the Somerset Schools as the district-wide Technology Coordinator and helped Somerset become a highly technology advanced school district.  He did a great job of working with administrators, teachers, students, and the community of Somerset.  Ryan was well respected by all and did a great job in his capacity of Technology Coordinator.  Ryan has also served in the past on the Somerset Village and again he did a great job of helping Somerset grow as a community.  There is no question in my mind that if Ryan Sicard is given the chance, he can help Somerset grow in the right direction as Somerset President.
